Smoky BBQ Chicken Kebabs

These smoky chicken kebabs deliver classic barbecue flavour while staying lean, high in protein, and easy to prepare. Perfect for meal prep, entertaining, or healthy family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 600g chicken breast, cubed
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp barbecue seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste

Optional Vegetables

  • Red onion chunks
  • Bell pepper chunks
  • Mushrooms

Instructions

  1. Combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, barbecue seasoning, salt, pepper, and tomato paste in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the chicken and toss until evenly coated.
  3. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes. Longer marinating will produce deeper flavour.
  4. Thread the chicken onto skewers, alternating with vegetables if desired.
  5. Air fry at 190°C for 12–15 minutes, turning halfway through cooking.
  6. Alternatively, grill, braai, or bake until fully cooked.
  7. Cook until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 75°C.
