Important Note

Fruits count as a carbohydrate source. Divide your grain serving quantity by 3 and allocate one-third of that toward fruit servings.

Cooking Instructions

  1. Cook the oats according to the package instructions.
  2. Slice the apple and banana.
  3. Mix your serving of whey protein into the oats. Add a little extra water if needed for a smoother consistency.
  4. In a pot over medium heat, add a little water along with the apple and berries.
  5. Stew the fruit with cinnamon until the apple softens.
  6. Serve the oats in a bowl and top with banana slices and the warm stewed fruit mixture.

Coach’s Notes

  • Adding whey protein after cooking helps maintain a smooth texture.
  • A little extra water creates creamier oats and prevents the whey from becoming too thick.
  • Stewing the fruit enhances sweetness naturally without needing extra sugar.
  • Use frozen berries for convenience and affordability.
  • Nut butter adds healthy fats and makes the meal more satisfying.
